Not Enough Power

Share

There is more than one way to solve California’s power crisis (“The Power of a Park,” editorial, June 11). The people of Los Angeles deserve all the park space they can get. As a former resident, I can attest to the scarcity of suitable land there and also the unsightliness of power plants. The state Energy Commission must devote its time and money to finding ways to decrease the need for electricity. The federal government, for its part, must change current immigration laws that have allowed an unprecedented number of foreigners into our country who put terrible strains on it, not only for electricity but schools, roads and other infrastructure.
