Update--Though Ortiz’s start was pushed up a day, he will be pitching on his normal four days’ rest because the Angels were off Monday. The right-hander was hit hard in his last start, giving up four runs and 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings of Friday’s 6-2 loss to the Dodgers, but he dominated the Rangers in his first two starts of this season, giving up four runs and nine hits in 14 1/3 innings, both victories. Of Darin Erstad’s 36 runs batted in, 16 have tied the score or given the Angels a lead.
