Record vs. Rockers--1-0.

Update--With the Sparks flying into Cleveland early today, Coach Michael Cooper was not planning on having his team work out before the game. He may change his mind after taking a look at the free-throw figures from Thursday’s game against Houston. Shooting 37.5% against the Comets (three of eight) was a key reason Los Angeles lost its first game. The Sparks get no rest against the Rockers, who are in second place in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland is unbeaten at home this season (4-0), has won its last three games, and has been off since beating Washington on Sunday. Guard Merlakia Jones (13.8) is Cleveland’s leading scorer.
