Top five meltdowns this season on the PGA Tour:

1. Davis Love III, Nissan Open. Had a three-stroke lead entering the final round, shot 75 and finished eighth.

2. Ernie Els, Accenture Match Play. Top-seeded Els had only to contend with No. 21 Pierre Fulke, No. 30 Toru Taniguchi and No. 55 Steve Stricker heading into the semifinals. Els finished fourth.

3. Kirk Triplett, Nissan Open. First-round leader and defending champion shot second-round 81 and missed the cut.

4. Phil Mickelson and Frank Lickliter, Buick Invitational. Looked like 18-handicappers during playoff hole, won by Mickelson with a double bogey.

5. Golf courses, Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. Yielded a winning score of 36 under par to journeyman Joe Durant, a PGA Tour record.
