Keino Is Deserving of Another Medal

It’s easy to get discouraged reading the sports pages these days, and then I read the article on Kip Keino [“Grand Kenyans,” Feb. 25]. What a true hero! His story should be required reading for all the self-absorbed, money-grubbing athletes of today. And isn’t it amazing, although Keino has hardly anything of material value, he seems so much happier with his life than guys like Gary Sheffield or Frank Thomas.
