El Toro (27-3) vs. Glendora (26-4)

5:15 TONIGHT ARROWHEAD POND

El Toro has piled up 102 victories in Coach Todd Dixon’s five seasons, but that accomplishment will be somewhat diminished if the top-seeded Chargers can’t bring home the championship in their first title-game appearance. El Toro will have its hands full with second-seeded Glendora, which is seeking its fourth title and first since 1998, when the Tartans beat San Bernardino Pacific. Like El Toro, Glendora features a quick, guard-oriented lineup with only one player, forward Spencer Foster, taller than 6 feet 5. Charger Center Matt Green, who is 6-8, has developed into one of the most dominating big men in Orange County and should be up to the task against Foster. The deciding factor may be which team gets the most from its guards, and Dixon has to like his chances with Ashkan Nazeri, Chris Parish and Ken Tanaka. Glendora swingmen Kyle Bechler and Mike Mehanna combined for 35 points in the Tartans’ semifinal victory over Riverside North.
