From Times Wire Reports

Gov. Jeb Bush urged state lawmakers in Tallahassee to set up uniform ballots and help counties upgrade voting machines in the wake of glitches in the state’s election process that had left the U.S. presidency in the balance for more than a month.

The governor, the younger brother of President Bush, recommended eliminating punch-card ballots and establishing a uniform system for recounts, as well as standardizing procedures for absentee and overseas ballots and providing provisional ballots for voters whose eligibility is in question.
