SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

EastCoastGuest: The Standard Hotel has a New Yorker coming to stay. From Bond Street in NoHo comes BondSt restaurant. Sadly, the owners won’t be renaming it SunsetBlvd to fit the SoCal location. A sushi bar, restaurant and bar will take up one floor of the hotel (in New York, BondSt is a three-story operation; the BondSt in Miami Beach is just a lounge in the Delano Hotel). Owner Jonathan Morr eventually will hire an L.A. chef, but the kitchen and menu are being set by Linda Rodriguez, BondSt’s chef. BondSt is scheduled to open in September at 8300 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood.

Menu Spotting: The health-foodie eatery Jack Sprat’s Grille will celebrate its sixth anniversary with $6 entrees; all entrees except the steak and the pork chops are $6 from Monday through March 15. Jack Sprat’s Grille, 10668 W. Pico Blvd., L.A.; (310) 837-6662. . . . The old Le Chardonnay (renamed Carafe) has a $15 dinner deal to help get customers used to eating those “European Country Favorites.” Choose from eight entree specials served with soup or salad and dessert. The deal runs through April. Carafe, 8284 Melrose Ave., L.A.; (323) 655-8880. . . . The House in Hollywood is serving lunch. Plates run from macaroni and cheese ($6) to cured salmon with grapefruit, fennel and cucumber ($9) to a flattened chicken with spinach-bacon salad ($15). Lunch 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. The House, 5750 Melrose Ave., Hollywood; (323) 462-4687.

Wine Night: The Westlake Village Inn invites Rosenthal, the Malibu Estates winery, for dinner on Tuesday night. There’ll be five courses, including Thai duck salad and Chilean sea bass in lemon sauce. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. The tab is $65 and must be prepaid.

Move Over Winemakers: The Water Grill in downtown L.A. wants you to meet three of its purveyors March 29. Diners will meet Nancy Hill of Morningstar Seafood in Stonington, Maine, who will bring diver scallops; Robert Damasco of Pierless Fish Co. in Manhattan, who will bring fish from around the world, particularly French line-caught varieties; and Patty Weihl from Fresh and Wild in Oregon, who will supply mushrooms, truffles, herbs, roots, edible flowers and greens. Chef Michael Cimarusti will show off these ingredients in a six-course meal that begins with Hog Island oysters. Other dishes include peeky toe crab in chilled carrot broth, roasted red mullet, diver scallops with morel mushrooms, loup de mer and vanilla bean panna cotta. The $125 tab includes wine. Reservations available from 5 p.m.
