Pardon Protest
Re “Prosecutor Quits Over Boss’ Role in Pardon,” March 5: I would like to applaud Assistant U.S. Atty. Duncan DeVille’s courage and conviction in protesting U.S. Atty. Alejandro N. Mayorkas’ activities in supporting the pardon of the convicted cocaine trafficker Carlos Vignali. It is a shame that honest, hard-working officials in law enforcement have their efforts undermined by corrupt politicians and political “wannabes” like Mayorkas. I only hope that DeVille is quitting his post so he can take over Mayorkas’ (who should resign).
