Ex-Playmate Loses Inheritance Case
A jury ruled that former stripper and Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith and the oldest son of her late Texas oilman husband are entitled to none of his multimillion-dollar estate.
The jury affirmed that the oilman, J. Howard Marshall II, had named son E. Pierce Marshall, 61, as his sole heir, and invalidated the claims of Smith and J. Howard Marshall III that they had oral agreements with the deceased.
Smith, 33, dropped her claim after a federal bankruptcy judge in California awarded her $475 million. But the verdict in Texas could undermine the California ruling.
