Los Angeles. National Corvette Restorers Society judged meet for 1953-82 models and “sportsman show” for all club members’ cars. Huntington Beach. Beach cruisers--woodie wagons, VW Transporters, Chevy Nomads and other vehicles popular with the surfing crowd--will be on display at the annual Wavecrest Beach Cruiser Meet. Main Street between Pacific Coast Highway and Orange Avenue, beginning at 7 a.m. Admission is free. $20 entry fee for contestants on day of meet, $12 for early registration. Irwindale. NASCAR’s 2001 racing season comes to Irwindale Speedway with a 100-lap Super Late-Model Race as well as events for Grand American Modifieds, Super Stocks and Mechanix Wear Speed Trucks. Beverly Hills. Annual “Classics for Charity” car show, hosted by Beverly Hills Ltd.
