* I was disappointed to read your March 14 profile of Steve Soboroff, “Deal Maker’s Pitch Is That He’s No Politician.” Soboroff is a kind and generous person who has given both his time and his money to numerous charitable and civic organizations. Rather than focusing on Soboroff’s proposed solutions to the problems that affect each and every one of us, like traffic, crime and education, your reporter chose to devote nearly the entire article to his personal wealth. The election for mayor is about which candidate has the best vision for the city, not which candidate has the biggest bank account.
