ANAHEIM

7:30pm

Pop Music

The Benjamins are the latest Milwaukee export (remember the BoDeans?) to ladle generous dollops of pop melody and hooks into a gritty alt-rock sound. The title of the group’s recently released debut album, “The Art of Disappointment,” alludes to its viewpoint on human relations, certainly not to its promising musical formula.

* The Benjamins, Chain Reaction, 1652 W. Lincoln Ave., Anaheim. With Code 415, Cousin Oliver, Jimmi Rigg. 7:30 p.m. $7. (714) 635-6067.

COSTA MESA

The works will include Albeniz’s “Suite Espanola,” Suites One and Two from Falla’s “The Three-Cornered Hat,” Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez” and Palomo’s “Andalusian Nocturnes.” Guitarist Pepe Romero will be the soloist.
