Jackson’s Music, Photo

You still don’t get it, do you? (“The Gloved One Drops the Ball at the Rock Hall of Fame Induction,” by Robert Hilburn, March 21). If Michael Jackson never performed live again, I still would buy his albums. He doesn’t have to convince me he is human. He doesn’t have to sit on a stool and sing “Billie Jean” or any other song if he doesn’t want to. You don’t get it, Mr. H.: Mike is the man.

I believe the photo of Michael Jackson (“Michael, Act III,” by Geoff Boucher, March 19, photo by Reuters news agency) speaks volumes about the person. He could not possibly look more saddened, tormented or confused. A picture is worth a thousand words, and this one proves it.

After looking at the picture of Michael Jackson, I had to check the calendar twice. I was sure it was Halloween. No wonder he wears a mask when he is out in public.

I think that the close-up photograph of Michael Jackson’s face on the front page of the Calendar section is one of the most truly frightening things I have ever seen. At first glance, I assumed it was publicity about some upcoming ghost-horror movie. Poor Michael.
