Ex-Sony Exec Giaquinta Forms Consulting Firm

* Former Sony Pictures Entertainment Vice President Jerry Giaquinta has formed the Giaquinta Group, a marketing and communications firm with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Giaquinta said the new consulting firm will focus on marketing messages dealing with the “digital lifestyle.” The new company will work with GCI Group, a global public relations firm.

* Robert Levin, former president of worldwide marketing for Sony Pictures Entertainment and Walt Disney Studios, has joined entertainment industry marketing and advertising firm Creative Domain as president of the company’s newly formed Creative Domain Enterprises unit. Levin will focus on building and expanding the company’s theatrical marketing activities.

* William Ballhaus Jr., president of El Segundo-based Aerospace Corp., has been elected chief executive of the government-funded research organization, succeeding Edward C. “Pete” Aldridge Jr. who has retired.

* Digital Deviants, a Web design and multimedia communications firm based in Venice, has promoted David Cullipher to president. He had been the company’s chief technology officer.
