Ski Resort Faces Probe for Alleged Violations

The state attorney general should investigate a series of alleged environmental violations at the Squaw Valley USA ski resort, state water quality regulators have decided.
The Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board unanimously voted last week to ask the attorney general to consider fines or an injunction forcing the Lake Tahoe resort to comply with environmental orders.
Squaw Valley officials branded the allegations as inaccurate and pleaded for a chance to discuss them with Lahontan officials before involving the attorney general.
