Police Seek to Charge Rodman Over Party
From Times Staff
Police said Sunday they plan to ask prosecutors to file charges against former NBA star Dennis Rodman after a showdown Saturday over his 40th birthday celebration--which included a live rock band performance and Rodman’s arrival by helicopter.
Adding to an already lengthy list of run-ins with local authorities, the former rebounding champion may be charged with three counts of disturbing the peace and one count of playing live music without a permit during a party at his home on Seashore Drive, said Sgt. Jim Kaminsky. Rodman later moved the party to a local restaurant.
