Cal State Proposes New Curbs on Alcohol Use

California State University unveiled proposed policies Tuesday aimed at curbing college drinking at the nation’s largest public university system after the alcohol-related death of a Cal State Chico freshman from Palo Alto.
The policies, believed to be the first in the nation that would be enacted systemwide, include banning alcohol advertising at campus-sponsored events.
