Computer Hacker Gets 18-Month Term

A former FBI informant who allegedly hacked into hundreds of military and government computer systems was sentenced to 18 months in prison Monday.
Max Ray Butler, 28, of Berkeley pleaded guilty in September to one felony count of damaging Defense Department computer networks.
