From Times Staff Reports
A man was killed on the Ronald Reagan Freeway on Thursday when he lost control of his car and it overturned, authorities said.
The victim, a 40- to 50-year-old whose name was not released, was traveling west in the fast lane about 1:45 p.m. when he drifted onto the dirt center median and struck a barrier.
His vehicle veered back onto the freeway, overturned and skidded across the right shoulder, where it came to rest blocking the Stearns Street onramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
