Wulff Doesn’t Let Up and Wins

Escondido’s Nathan Wulff held off Chatsworth’s Tommy Fry on Saturday night to win the 75-lap Crown Disposal Inc. Super Late Model main event before a crowd of 5,327 at Irwindale Speedway.

Wulff, starting in fourth position, took the lead from John Tycski on the second lap and never relinquished the lead. Fry finished second, followed by Camarillo’s Charlie Utts.

“I just wanted to get out and get away,” Wulff said. “On a 75-lap race, you want to go all-out the whole race, and I managed to work through the drizzle.”
