Safety Agencies to Hold Bioterrorism Drill
Ventura County law enforcement agencies and emergency services personnel are planning a bioterrorism drill Monday on the former St. John’s Hospital campus in Oxnard.
Ventura College paramedic students will portray victims, using their medical knowledge to act out symptoms, while experiencing how the county’s emergency services system works.
The drill will include simulations of a widespread chemical attack at a populated public place in Ventura County. It aims to enable the agencies to coordinate their responses and assess the effectiveness of their actions.
