Re “Riordan a Fragile Leader in GOP Race,” Nov. 5: Mark Barabak, writing about next year’s California governor’s race, said Republicans are “desperate to end the party’s long losing streak.” Correct me if I’m wrong, but haven’t Republicans won four out of the last five gubernatorial elections?
