Man Arrested at LAX for Loaded Gun in Bag

A San Jose man was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday after an X-ray scanner revealed a loaded revolver in his carry-on luggage, officials said.
Robert Joseph Esparza, 36, was arrested about 1:15 p.m. at a security checkpoint in Terminal 1. Airport officials said he was ticketed on a Southwest Airlines flight to San Jose. Police said they had no information on why he had the .38-caliber pistol.
