Colorado State Prevails

Pete Rebstock’s 73-yard kickoff return helped set up Henri Childs’ one-yard scoring run with 6:46 left as Colorado State held off Air Force, 28-21, Thursday night in Fort Collins, Colo.

Duan Ruff scored twice for the Rams, 5-5 overall and 4-2 in the Mountain West Conference. Air Force fell to 5-4 and 2-3.

Vanderbilt Coach Woody Widenhofer resigned, effective at the end of the season. The Commodores (2-6) lost, 71-13, Saturday to Florida, falling to 4-33 in conference during Widenhofer’s five seasons.
