For Now, Jackson Is ‘Invincible’

Share

The ‘80s king of pop, Michael Jackson may be a source of constant attention and admiration as well as scrutiny, but that doesn’t mean he can’t have the No. 1 record in the country. Jackson’s new album, “Invincible” enters the charts at No. 1 on both the local and national charts.

Despite his success this week, he’ll have to try to keep Enrique Iglesias from stealing the top spot in weeks to come. Iglesias’ new release, “Escape” entered the charts in the No. 2 position.

On the singles chart, the ladies run the kingdom.

Whitney Houston is the reigning queen of the singles charts holding the No. 1 position for her rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner.” Mary J. Blige’s, “Family Affair” and Christina Milian’s, “AM to PM” continue to bounce back and forth in the top 5.
