Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman have reached an agreement on how to divide their marital property and share custody of their two children.

“It’s a done deal,” said Cruise’s lawyer, Dennis Wasser, as he left the Los Angeles courtroom of Superior Court Judge Lee Edmon on Wednesday afternoon. Details are confidential, Wasser added, and the court file has been sealed, so it could not be immediately learned how the couple had agreed to divide their fortune, estimated at more than $150 million.

Wasser and Kidman’s lawyer, Sorrell Trope, released a joint statement saying the former couple “have come to an amicable, full resolution of all issues. This was done to ensure that the best interests of their children were protected.”

Cruise, 39, and Kidman, 34, had been married for 10 years when they announced their separation in February. Cruise followed that announcement by filing divorce papers two days later.

Although the divorce became final exactly six months after it was filed, Cruise and Kidman engaged in bouts of legal bickering--and public relations one-upmanship--as they fought over division of their assets and custody of their two children, Isabella, 8, and Connor, 6. They finally agreed to joint custody, Wasser said.

Cruise has been seen in public recently with actress Penelope Cruz, his co-star in the upcoming film “Vanilla Sky.”
