Police Identify Slain Woman in Ciudad Juarez
Police identified a woman whose body was dumped near a busy street in Ciudad Juarez, a week after two men were arrested in connection with the murders of eight women in the violent Mexican border city.
A passerby discovered the body of Alma Nelly Osorio Bejarano, 21, late Monday, said police spokesman Juan Manuel Carmona.
Authorities said Osorio was strangled and severely beaten.
The two men admitted kidnapping, raping and killing the women but have since recanted, saying police had tortured them until they confessed.
