Losses on Power

“State Expects Huge Losses on Surplus Power” (Nov. 23) adds to the rapidly growing body of evidence that implies that we voters/taxpayers must insist that government officials stop “helping” us when it comes to economic issues. Once again, the behavior of these officials has demonstrated that they have absolutely no understanding of what the full effect of their actions will be.

Incidentally, although these officials don’t understand economic cause and effect, they obviously know how to spin the truth: They’re still employed, while we consumers “could pay as much as $3.9 billion for power that isn’t needed.”
