‘Las Posadas’ to Be Staged This Weekend

Cal Lutheran University will perform “Las Posadas” on Sunday.
The Mexican rite, played out each year across the Southwest, reenacts Mary and Joseph’s search for a place for the birth of Jesus.
Those attending may gather at 7 p.m. at the campus Pavilion. The reenactment will begin with characters portraying Mary and Joseph traveling through residence halls asking for a night’s lodging. The procession will end in Samuelson Chapel. The university is at 60 W. Olsen Road. For details, call 493-3228.
