Woman Killed, 6 Hurt in 2-Vehicle Accident

A 22-year-old woman was killed over the weekend when her car made a U-turn and collided with a minivan, authorities said.
Jessica Plein of Lancaster died at the scene of the accident, which occurred about 2:40 a.m. Sunday on 30th Street West north of Avenue J, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Sgt. Gus Risinger said.
After the vehicles collided, both ran off the road into a dirt field. Plein’s passenger, a 21-year-old woman, and five people in the minivan were treated for minor injuries.
