Taliban’s Millions Frozen in London Banks

Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown said he has frozen more than $88 million that the Taliban has in London banks and plans new laws to crack down on money laundering.
“We call upon all nations to ensure that, just as there is no safe haven for terrorists, there is no safe hiding place for terrorist funds,” Brown said in his keynote speech to the Labor Party’s annual conference in Brighton.
