The Orange County Transportation Authority is seeking applicants to succeed public member Sarah L. Catz, who has decided not to serve another term.
The 11-member board governs the agency, which has a budget of $574 million and is in charge of the county’s bus service, light rail and freeway improvements.
The public member is the only non-elected official on the board, which includes four county supervisors and six council members from various cities. The position is for four years and is unpaid except for a nominal stipend. The board meets twice monthly.
The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Oct. 26. Letters and resumes can be sent to Clerk of the Board, OCTA Administration Building, 7th Floor, 550 S. Main St., Orange, CA 92863.
The agency is also seeking an alternate, who votes in the absence of the public member.
