* Printronix Inc., an Irvine manufacturer of computer printers, reported second-quarter net income of $410,000, or 7 cents a share, compared with a loss of $519,000, or 20 cents a share, a year ago when the company recorded an $800,000 restructuring charge. Revenue declined 12% to $36.5 million.

* Edward L. Samek has been appointed to the board of directors of Alliance Imaging Inc. in Anaheim. Samek has been chairman, president and chief executive of the MRC Group, president of Hudson Pharmaceutical Corp., and president and chief executive of Childcraft Education Corp.

* The KTGY Group Inc., an Irvine architecture and planning firm, added Robert J. Williams as a principal. He was formerly principal of Brion Jeannette and Associates, where he was lead designer.

* Yard House Restaurants LLC in Irvine appointed Jeff Uttz to the newly created position of chief financial officer. He had been vice president, finance, with CKE Restaurants Inc.
