A Helmet Is Also Important When Cycling

Thank you for your article on the possible link between bicycle seats and impotence (“Bicycle Seats’ Link to Impotence Rests on Controversial Evidence,” Sept. 3).

The photograph showed three [adult] cyclists riding without bicycle helmets. These experienced riders should know by now that head protection preserves their potency even more than sitting on the proper seat. Your photograph, therefore, warns of a potential health issue while illustrating a serious and well-established safety risk.
