Cisco Recalls 95,000 Router Power Adapters

Cisco Systems Inc. is recalling about 95,000 power adapters that can overheat and create fire and shock hazards, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

The black AC electric power adapters, used with certain Cisco asymmetric digital subscriber line routers, can heat up and melt a hole through their case, the commission said.

The recalled power adapters have the part number 34-0949-02, located on the adapter label below the Cisco Systems logo.
