Rep. Royce Sponsors Terrorism Conference
About 200 scholars and community leaders attended a conference on terrorism at Cal State Fullerton on Sunday.
The gathering was sponsored by Rep. Ed Royce (R-Fullerton) and featured speeches by former ambassador to Malaysia John Malott, who presides over the World Affairs Council of Orange County, and Thomas Dine, president of Radio Free Europe. In addition, a spokeswoman said, there was a discussion by a panel representing local communities of immigrants from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
“We had a whole variety of opinions represented,” said Young Kim, coordinator of Royce’s Asian Pacific Congressional Advisory Council and one of the conference organizers.
