Glitch Prevents 'Snow White' From PC Viewing

Walt Disney Co. and Microsoft Corp. are investigating a glitch that may prevent some Microsoft software users from viewing Disney’s DVD version of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

Users of newer systems with Windows 2000 or Windows XP may not be able to watch the DVD on their computers, company officials said. Microsoft launched Windows XP on Thursday.

Company officials said the glitch is easily remedied through a software update that can be downloaded from Microsoft’s Web site.

The problem has generated a few complaints since the Oct. 9 DVD release, Disney said.
