Orlando’s Grant Hill sprained his surgically repaired left ankle in the Magic’s preseason finale against Atlanta Thursday night, but doesn’t expect to miss any action.

“I’ll be fine,” said Hill, who missed all but four games last season. “I’m an expert now on lower extremities, and according to my expertise, I’ll be OK.”

Hill said the injury occurred when he stepped on someone’s foot in the second quarter.

He talked Coach Doc Rivers into letting him start the second half, but was pulled midway through the quarter when Rivers saw him limping.

Hill finished with eight points, five rebounds and four assists.

The initial diagnosis was a slight sprain to the ankle and mid-foot, although X-rays were negative.

He is listed as day to day.

A minute before Rivers yanked Hill, Orlando center Andrew DeClercq sprained his left ankle.

He also is listed as day to day.
