Raudman Drives to Irwindale Win

Share

Bakersfield’s Craig Raudman needed a little luck in the last 25 laps of the Advantage Ford 150 to earn his third win of the season Saturday night in front of 6,135 at Irwindale Speedway.

“I was just trying to keep my tires and start racing hard with Augie [Vidovich Jr.] around Lap 115,” Raudman said after his NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series victory. “When he fell off, I got some distance when I could, and just held it off.”

Lakeside’s Vidovich had taken the lead on Lap 5 and seemed to have held off Raudman. But on Lap 123, Vidovich lost the handling on his car and fell out of contention. Scott Lynch, of Burley, Idaho, finished second and Darrell LaMoure was third.
