Carjacker-Rapist Gets 456 Years in Prison
A man convicted of carjacking, raping and shooting a newspaper delivery driver before running her over was sentenced to 456 years in state prison Wednesday.
Cedric Allan Parker, 36, was convicted Aug. 1 of nine felony counts for the August 1999 attack on the 27-year-old woman. The jury took only a few hours to find that Parker was the one who kidnapped the woman and drove her around Fontana, forcing her to perform sex acts on him, according to court records. He put her in a portable toilet, promising that he would not kill her, then shot her in the head and chest. The woman fell out of the toilet onto the ground, and Parker ran her over with the delivery truck.
The woman, who survived, suffers vision and memory problems.
