The three winning SuperLotto Plus tickets were all sold in the Los Angeles area, and lottery officials announced that one group of winners came forward Thursday to claim their share of the $88-million jackpot.

Nine people who work together in Walnut chipped in and bought one of the winning tickets, lottery spokeswoman Cathy Doyle Johnston said. They requested anonymity.

“Every time the lottery was over $10 million, they each pitched in $1 and bought tickets,” Johnston said. “They won $10 Saturday night and invested that in Wednesday night’s big draw.”

The winners all opted for the cash value of the prize. By receiving the money up front rather than spreading it out over 26 annual payments, they take home about half of their share of the jackpot.

Split three ways, each winning ticket is worth almost $15 million.

This jackpot ties for fifth in the top 10 California Lottery jackpots.

The winning tickets were sold at:

* Impulse Cards and Gifts, 1055 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles.

* J Market, 8523 W. 3rd St., Los Angeles.

* Lee’s Chevron Service, 390 N. Lemon Ave., Walnut.

Each retailer will receive about $146,000 for selling their share of the jackpot.
