What’s Next for Thrill Rides? Physical Exams?

Re “Knott’s Coaster Stays Closed After Death,” Sept. 3:

If a judge in Orange County allows any suit against Knott’s for liability in the death of the tourist, he ought to be removed from the bench. If the facts are as stated in the article and the woman rode previously without mishap along with how many thousands of other riders since the ride was opened, how can any attorney even imagine any liability on the part of Knott’s for her death?

If these comic lawsuits continue, the public will have to provide waivers and/or proof of good health before enjoying any of the thrill rides at amusement parks. Frivolous lawsuits should be examined more closely by the legal system and penalties assessed on the lawyers and plaintiffs for filing them.
