Car Swerves Into Bus Shelter, Hurting 3

A car swerved off the road into a bus shelter Saturday, injuring a woman and two children, officials said.
The 18-year-old driver was not injured. Moises Rayo, who allegedly tried to run away, was detained by a witness and turned over to police after the 9:11 a.m. crash at Jefferson Boulevard and Vermont Avenue, police Officer Guillermo Campos said. Rayo was booked for felony hit-and-run, Campos said.
