Motorcyclist Is Killed in Crash

A 32-year-old Sherman Oaks man was killed early Saturday when the motorcycle he was riding struck a dump truck on the Ventura Freeway and he was thrown off and struck by a car, authorities said.
The accident occurred about 1:40 a.m. on the westbound freeway near White Oak Avenue, the California Highway Patrol said.
After hitting the truck, the motorcyclist fell onto the White Oak Avenue offramp and was struck by the car. Coroner’s officials have not released his identity pending notification of relatives.
