20,000 Plants Seized in County’s Biggest Pot Bust
From Times Wire Reports
Santa Cruz County officials have scored the biggest pot bust in county history.
Sheriff’s deputies collected more than 20,000 top-quality marijuana plants valued at $40 million in a remote canyon near Mt. Madonna County Park.
“This is two-thirds of what we seized all year last year,” said sheriff’s spokesman Kim Allyn.
The fully mature plants stretched a mile into the canyon. There were no arrests in Wednesday’s raid.
