CBOT, CME to Begin Some Trading Today

The Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange will resume futures and options trading today on most markets. The city’s stock and stock-options markets will remain closed.

All CBOT markets, excluding futures and options linked to stock indexes, will be trading on the exchange floor and over its electronic system, the exchange said in a release.

CBOT markets include contracts linked to 30-year Treasury bonds, which will resume trading at 5:20 a.m. PDT. Agricultural products will start at 7:30 a.m. PDT.

The CME’s interest rate, foreign-exchange and agricultural markets will resume trading this morning, excluding contracts linked to stock indexes, the exchange said.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange and the Chicago Stock Exchange will remain closed.

The CBOE, which trades options linked to U.S. stocks, and the stock exchange are awaiting the resumption of trading on New York equity markets, exchange officials said.
