Judge Moves Deadline for Microsoft Filing
- Share via
A judge gave Microsoft Corp. and government lawyers a four-day extension for submitting a joint recommendation on a schedule for the penalty phase of the landmark antitrust case.
The two sides were to have filed a proposal today to U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, who was appointed last month to take over the case.
In a two-sentence order, the judge gave the litigants until Tuesday to file that report. Lawyers are scheduled to appear before Kollar-Kotelly for the first time Sept. 21.
The extension comes in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Kollar-Kotelly gave no reason for the extension, which came in response to a joint request.
