Lessons, Celebrity Work Display in Santa Monica

The Los Angeles Knit-Out and Crochet Too will be staged along two blocks of the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. In addition to lessons, consultations and displays, a queen-size blanket made from 7-by-9-inch squares knitted and crocheted by celebrities such as Julianne Moore, Sophia Coppola, Annette O’Toole and Daryl Hannah also will be displayed.

The blanket will be auctioned in October on EBay, with proceeds going to the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.
