* Orbital Imaging Corp., the closely held operator of satellites used to take digital photographs of Earth, will file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Major shareholders, including its largest, satellite maker Orbital Sciences Corp., have agreed to a restructuring plan, the Dulles, Va.-based company said. Orbital Sciences shares fell 70 cents to $2.15 on the NYSE.

* Infogrames Inc., a New York-based unit of French video-game maker Infogrames Entertainment, said its fiscal fourth-quarter loss narrowed as its revenue rose 67%. The company lost $22.9 million, or 33 cents a share, in the fourth quarter ended June 30. It lost $55.4 million, or $2.68, in the year-earlier period. Revenue rose to $72.7 million.

* CMGI Inc., the Internet venture firm that owns Web-search service AltaVista Co., said its fiscal fourth-quarter loss widened as sales fell 31%, more than expected. The loss ballooned to $1.28 billion, or $3.70 a share, in the quarter ended July 31, from $633.7 million, or $2.17. Sales fell 31% to $255.5 million.
